Security:
All financial information you provide when ordering at
Discount Marine Source is
held in strict
confidentiality. All the
data you provide is
transmitted through secure
internet connections that
provide the highest Internet
security. User information
is encrypted at your browser
and then decrypted when it
arrives at Discount Marine
Source. Your data will
not be released to one.
Privacy:
Maintaining your privacy is
important to us. All
personal information you
provide to Discount Marine
Source is kept strictly
confidential. We do not
share, rent, sell, collect
or exchange your personal
information, including your
name, your e-mail and your
mailing address, with
anyone.
Returns:
We will accept the return of
any unused item in its
original condition (package
not opened ), for any
reason, within 30 days of
receipt of your order. Items
returned could be subject to a
handling and/or restocking
charge that will depend on
the policies of the
manufacturer and/or
distributor of the product
and the condition of the
item being returned. This
is determined on a
case-by-case basis. You will be
responsible for the shipping
fees to and from you
shipping location. If we
made a mistake in your
order, we will refund your
shipping fees for returns.
Return Policies: You must email for a return agreement (RA) number prior
to sending us a return. We
will refuse delivery of any
package not clearly marked
with an RA number, and it
will be returned to you.
Non-returnable Products:
Including but not limited to
cut lengths of rope, cut
lengths of wire, rigging
fabricated to your
specifications, custom-made
products, sails, software,
electronic charts,
blister-packed products that
have been opened, life
rafts, and night vision
products are not
returnable. If a
non-returnable item is
defective, we will gladly
repair or replace the item.
We will not accept the
return of any item that is
not in its original
packaging with all manuals,
original packing material
and warranty cards in place.
Refunds:
We promise to do our best to promptly credit your account for
returns, however, items that
are not in condition for
immediate resale (i.e. open
boxes) may be subject to
manufacturer inspection
prior to issuing you a
credit. Marine Electronic
and Electrical items that
are returned for credit are
always subject to inspection
by the manufacturer and/or
distributor prior to credit
being issued for the return.
Please be aware that this
inspection process takes
time and it can take 3-4
weeks from the time we
receive your return for us
to credit your account.
All sales are final
after 30 days.
Should you experience a
problem with any product
purchased from us after 30
days, we will be happy to
assist you any applicable
warranty claims with the
manufacturer.
Claims:
All items purchased from
Discount Marine Source are
made pursuant to a shipment
contract. This means that
the risk of loss and title
for such items pass to you
upon delivery to the
carrier. We are unable to
initiate claims for goods
damaged in transit. It is
your responsibility to
initiate claims for orders
damaged during shipment.
All claims must be placed
with the carrier within five
days of your delivery date.
Please open packages
immediately. Retain all
damaged packaging for
inspection by the carrier.
Cancel
Unshipped Items:
You can also cancel
unshipped non-custom items.
To do that, send an e-mail
to
orders@discountmarinesource.com.
Include your invoice number
and the part number(s) of
the item(s) you wish to
cancel. Orders for
custom-made items including
but not limited to
rigging, spinnaker poles and
sails
may
not be canceled once the
order is in production.
These items require various
lead times to manufacture,
and may require pre-payment
or a non-refundable deposit
prior to production. Please
email us
info@discountmarinesource.com
for specific details and
terms for special orders.
Delivery:
We will always tell you what to
expect, rather than supply
you with a bunch of broken
promises.
Most of the items we sell
are currently available and
ship to you with in 48 hours
of us receiving your
payment. Given the nature of
the Marine Industry, it is
impossible for any vendor or
manufacturer to maintain a
100% fill rate. If your
order will not be shipped
within 48 hours of your
payment being received we
will notify you via email of
when your estimated shipping
date will be.
International Orders:
You are responsible for any
Duty, VAT, Brokerage Fees or other
non-shipping charges
incurred in the destination
country. International
duties and taxes are never
included in the invoice for
your order. If you refuse
delivery of an international
order, you will be
responsible for any fees
associated with your order
being returned to us, and
could be responsible for the
duties and/or taxes even if
the order is returned to us.
We are never responsible
for the freight cost
associated with returning
International orders, even
in the event the item is
unusable due to a
manufacturing defect.
